Panasonic TOUGHBOOK G2 2-in-1 Ruggedized Tablet

Panasonic launched the TOUGHBOOK G2, a fully rugged 2-in-1 detachable tablet with optional keyboard that features an innovative modular design and user-removable expansion packs (xPAKs), limiting downtime and boosting situational awareness for law enforcement workers so they can continue to support their communities both effectively and efficiently. The TOUGHBOOK G2 has many new features, such as an optimal screen size for portability and the ability to dock/detach the device in-vehicle. The screen brightness ranges from 2 nits to 1,000 nits, offering workers access to critical information in the dark (in a situation where they don’t want to be seen) or direct sunlight. The TOUGHBOOK G2 comes with three expansion areas to configure the device to specific officer needs. Other features include data capture and processing for digital reports, enabling officers to check background information in real time and route plan better. WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 features, and FirstNet certification offers enhanced connectivity between teams and centralized command centers. It is also compatible with a majority of existing TOUGHBOOK 20 and G1 docks, simplifying the upgrade path and limiting downtime.
